ABM Fujiya Berhad (ABM Fujiya) was incorporated in Malaysia on 16 September 2003
under the Act as a public limited company under the name ABM Fujiya Berhad. ABM Fujiya
is an investment holding company, whilst its subsidiary companies, Amalgamated Batteries
Manufacturing (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd (ABM), Amalgamated
Batteries Corporation Sdn Bhd, Amalgamated Batteries Marketing (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd and
Auto Industries Batteries (East Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, are involved in the manufacturing of
automotive batteries and Other Batteries, as well as dealing, sale and retailing of
automotive batteries and Other Batteries and lubricants.
ABM, a subsidiary of ABM Fujiya was established in 1971 to primarily manufacture complete
units of automotive batteries in various sizes ranging from 7-plate batteries to 33-plate
batteries which cater for a wide range of Malaysian, Japanese, Korean and European made
vehicles ranging from small passenger cars to buses and trucks. Its operations started from
a humble workshop, but over the years it has grown from strength to strength.
Over the past 47 years, the Group has invested in high-tech and automatic plants
and machineries to equip it to manufacture products that are of world-class standards.
This is coupled with its emphasis in human resource development which has earned the
Group with the reputation of producing good quality and reliable products.
ABM has obtained MSI ISO 9002:1994 certifications in 2001, MSI ISO 9001:2000 in 2003. As part of the Group’s commitment, it has been upgraded to MSI ISO 9001: 2008 certification in 2009 and MSI ISO 9001:2015 in 2019. ABM has also been awarded with SUPER EXCELLENT BRAND 2009, OUTSTANDING BUSINESS AWARDS 2010, 2012, THE BRANDLAUREATE SMEs BESTBRANDS BLUE CHIP AWARD 2013, and CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY (CSR) AWARD 2018 and 2019.
At present, the Group is operating four plants with a total production capacity of approximately
1.6 million units of batteries per annum. Our effort of continual improvement and constant
training provided to our workforce has established a strong and consistent strength that make
our products competitive in the market, allowing us to expand our market to more than 50 countries.
The Group has indeed proven itself to be growing from strength to strength and will surely
grow to higher heights in the years to come!
